Photography can be refer to as the act of crapping a image or object ( focusing on human being ) into a printed format that can be preserve for future viewing with the use of camera, and a person who do this could me refer to as photographer in respective of his or her sex.

The purpose of photography is to keep alive the memory (image) of past event in printed or other format.

Photographer as a profession has being what we have gone to learn so far and this write up will cover every aspect we are thought and everything relating or consign with photography, this write up will cover

CAMERA – this is the main tools or instrument use by a photographer to capture a image and is the main thing require to start up a photography business. Cameras are divided into two (2) main types which are digital and analog camera which are manufactured from different company such as Nikon, Sony, canon, zenith etc. both camera rely/uses battery to put them into function.

ANALOG – this is the first type of camera produce which is use to snap picture, some physical which could be mentioned are shoot button, battery port, film port and a rotating lens which are use to get the right time to snap a picture. With this type of camera, pictures are not being able to review, they are pre save on a material called film before printing it on paper or other surface, this type of camera as being outdated because it lacks many features required to improve or bring out the best photographer work such as inability to preview picture before printing, picture can easy come out blur if excess care is not taking, it cannot be transfer into other device before printing it.

DIGITAL- this is the newest/latest type of camera in town, it’s the advancement of analog camera and all the limitation of analog camera as being tried to reach here, this camera physical fixtures comprise of menu button, iso key, battery and memory card outlet, internal and external flash light (depending on the size of the camera), rotating lens etc. pictures snap with this type of camera make use of memory card as its storage place and it can save many pictures up to the size capacity of the memory card, pictures can be preview, edit and copy to other device such as phone. Pictures that are not too good can be quickly deleted and re snap.

A digital camera consist of three configuration which are

- Automatic

- Program

- Manual

AUTOMATIC- this configuration does not need settings before snapping a picture, it automatic regulate the camera to meet up with the current weather (dark, sunny or cool), The only disadvantage with automatic configuration is that it needs to rest when taking pictures (cannot snap like 20 pictures nonstop without rest, else it will hang) and it might not meet the exact taste when taking a picture where there is mixture of colors.

PROGRAM- this configuration is closely related to automatic and they perform the same function but program can’t change effect on picture related to weather.

MANUAL- this configuration require having a broad knowledge about its function before it can be operate unlike automatic and program that can easily be handle, it can perform numerous function like snapping where there is little reflection on light, much brightness of light.

Special features of digital camera that can be controlled while using manual configuration to take picture

It comprises of APERTURE, ISO AND SPEED as part of its functioning system.

APERTURE- this is the part of a camera function that determines/control how much ray of light are admitted to the camera, it has a great effect on picture, it range from --------

ISO- this is the part of camera function that determines the release of light to reflect on a picture, it determines more on how bright a picture is, its range from 0 to 4000 depends on the camera capacity

SPEED- this is the part of a camera function that determine how fast a camera pick an image when the lens is open, it range from.

The three components works together to produce a clear and fine pictures, they are regulate respected to the weather and ability to know the value to set the three component relating to the current weather determine the outcome the picture will give. For example while snapping picture in a hall or under canopy the speed must not be more than 100, aperture around 6.0 and iso to be 800.

PROCEDURES TO SNAP PICTURE- there is some procedures to follow and precautions to take to get a good and beautiful result when taking a picture,

- Maintain a good stand is very important because if the camera shake while taking a picture, it will come out blur and the object will not be clear, therefore it’s not advisable to stand closing both legs together, one have to be in front of the other so that the body will be balance and the hand will be stable.

- The camera must not face the ray of light because it will have effect on the lens of the camera, so it’s advisable to let the image you are snapping to face the ray of light (sun or other sharp light) and you back the light and face the image.

- The camera must be guard jealously to avoid it from falling because a camera will easily damage if it fall down.

- The person taking the picture have consider the height and posture of the person snapping to decide is posture to be able to capture the image upright and in the right angle.

- PASSPORT SIZE

- PORTRAIT SIZE

- THREE QUARTER (3/4) SIZE

- FULL SIZE

PASSPORT SIZE- this is the smallest size of a photo being printed, it is uses as identification for any document or documentation therefore passport is very important and the importance indicate that there are some fact that ought not to be over look like, the shoulder must be straight, and the head must not bend, the face must be clearly seen (eye, ear, nose, mouth). There the person that is to be snap must stand on his two legs and it must be closed together and if sited he or she must sit properly not one shoulder up and other down.

PORTRAIT SIZE- this size of picture ranging from the head to the top of waist around belly, it can be taking from any angle depending of the result wanted, portrait size makes picture clearer and brighter.

THREE QUARTER (3/4) SIZE- this size of picture ranging from the head to laps depending on the result that best suits the purpose of taking the picture.

FULL SIZE- this size of picture capture from the head to the toe, it’s advisable for group pictures.

All this size are commonly print on paper and it could be use to make up a photo album or phone book.

PERSONALTY- This is the combination of al character that makes someone unique, uniqueness is very important in setting up of photographic business. The way someone relate with people increase the advantage he have in influencing them to make him there priority.
