Balance depth and breadth
There is only so much capacity every human being has, even if you are a super-human, not least because there are only 24hrs a day. Don’t spread yourself too thinly – less is more. There is so much value in keeping your priorities. The fewer the things you have to work on, the more quality time you have to master the same and limit the risk of missing out on details. When you are particularly in a junior or middle-level role, your leader absolutely depends on you to have more breadth. The best leaders know to balance depth and breadth on the most important things and never have cause to regret.
